The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross trim levels offer three choices with a standard engine and three hybrid systems. Altogether, the six trims offer drivers a lot of great features to choose from.
Trim Level Names
Toyota’s options begin with the base level L and move up to the LE and XLE for the gas engine. The hybrid system is available in the Hybrid S and moves then to the Hybrid SE and then the Hybrid XSE.
Standard Engine
The L, LE, and XLE all come standard with the same engine. This is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with front wheel drive. It offers up to a maximum of 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.
These three trim levels get standout efficiency for city and highway travel. While front wheel drive is the standard, all-wheel drive is available.
Hybrid System
The S Hybrid, SE, and XSE all come with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with electronic all-wheel drive. This system delivers up to 196 horsepower. The vehicle averages an estimated 45 miles to the gallon in the city and estimated 38 on the highway.
Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0
Toyota is providing all trim levels with their Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0 list of safety assist features. These include technology like automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road sign assist. It also includes a dynamic radar cruise control and lane departure alert paired with a steering assist. There is also a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection included on all trims.
Corolla Cross LE and Hybrid SE
The LE is the middle of the road option with the gas engine and the Hybrid SE is the middle of the road option for the hybrid system. Elevating to these trim levels offers drivers a lot of the same features. These include wireless charging, a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and smart key system. This trim level also adds roof rails and 17-inch silver-colored alloy wheels.
They also have some new features available to add on. These include an available premium audio system with nine speakers. The standard option is a six-speaker audio system. These two trim levels also have an available moonroof.
Corolla Cross XLE and Hybrid XSE
The XLE is the top trim level with the gas engine and the Hybrid XSE is the top trim level with the hybrid system. Both add a new level of luxury to the exterior and interior of this sportier trim level. Some features include ambient lighting, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, and 18-inch alloy wheels with black-painted machined finish. These trim levels also have heated front seats and a seven-inch fully digital gauge cluster.
The XLE and Hybrid XSE have a long list of available options they can add as well. These include an available liftgate, available moonroof, available nine-speaker sound system, and an available adaptive front lighting system.
